While in Ecuador, after completing my Kambo Initiation & Training in the Amazon, I felt called to go deeper within & journey with Grandmother Ayahuasca. I spent five transformative days off-grid at Alma Healing Center.
My time with these incredible goddesses was truly life-changing & I recommend their medicine & healing methods 10/10. ❤️
Alma, meaning “Soul,” lives up to its name as a place of profound soul healing. The facilitators, Paulina & Sandra, are deeply knowledgeable, compassionate & fully dedicated to creating a safe, sacred space for each participant. Their presence, along with their prayers of healing, continue to resonate in my heart.
The ceremonies were transcendent & transformative, guided with deep respect for sacred traditions. Our ceremonies allowed for powerful spiritual healing, visionary experiences & emotional breakthroughs.

Every aspect of the experience—from the nourishing & healing Icaros & prayers, to the healing plant-based meals lovingly prepared by our gracious hosts to the personalized care offered before, during & after the ceremonies— the complete experience was thoughtfully curated.

The visions I received were otherworldly and beyond anything I could have imagined. ️ My communion with Mama Ayahuasca was pure, powerful & clear. I witnessed the vastness of the universe and the holographic matrix in ways I had never seen or felt before.️♾️
After 200 hours of Tantra Yoga, 14 days of daily Kambo, and two powerful sessions with the Great Mother Ayahuasca, my soul & spirit are wide open, receiving love, wisdom, and information. The timeline & DNA shift + the joy I feel for living on Pachamama at this time is immense.

I really enjoyed my time at Alma Healing Centre in Mindo. Sandra and Paulina made me feel like a friend rather than a paying customer, which made me feel more comfortable doing Ayahuasca for the first time.
The food, vibes, and medicine were all 5/5. I highly recommend this place to anyone trying Ayahuasca for the first time, as I couldn’t imagine a more comfortable setting and atmosphere.
Sandra & Paulina are amazingly gracious hosts. They are genuine, authentic souls, and just really friendly people. Their approach is sincere. My partner and I attended a three-night retreat at their retreat center in Mindo. With their guidance, I felt completely comfortable and at ease, which led to an incredible, unforgettable experience. The medicine is real, and the energy is powerful.
Mindo is a friendly, welcoming small town. Very safe. The food is delicious, and the scenery is beautiful.
We are excited to return to Sandra & Paulina, and continue our journey with ayahuasca.
My experience with the Alma Healing Center was extraordinary. I booked a private, three-night Ayahuasca retreat in the Mindo cloudforest for my partner and I and we left feeling extremely inspired to begin coming back annually. This was the first time I had participated in an Ayahuasca ceremony and Sandra and Paulina created a space that made me feel very comfortable and safe. During the ceremonies, the prayers were intentional and the music was remarkable. If you’re looking for a plant medicine retreat, I highly recommend you work with Alma Healing Center.
I participated in multiple plant medicine ceremonies with Alma Healing Center including their 5 day ayahuasca retreat (worth it and very fairly priced! Mindo cloudforest is amazing!) as well as a few private ceremonies and a San Pedro ceremony / hike – I could not recommend them more! I was looking for a safe, inclusive and trustworthy place to drink medicine and I found it! I highly recommend them for solo female travelers or people that identify as LGBTQ+. There really aren’t many queer ayahuasca retreats or healers out there so I felt very blessed to be in numerous ceremonies led by a female same sex couple. I also plan to participate in a women’s healing retreat next year! The medicine was deep and potent, led in a loving, nurturing and compassionate way that truly felt…safe, which is so important considering the vulnerability you experience with the medicine. I could go on and on…thank you Sandra and Paulina, I’m excited to see how your beautiful space progresses.

I did the 5 day ayahuasca retreat with Pauli and Sandra and had such an amazing experience. They made me feel so welcome and safe, like part of the family. Both ayahuasca ceremonies were beautiful, the second one during the day takes place in the jungle in Mindo – an incredible setting. Everyone on the retreat was wonderful as well and I’m so grateful to have met them all and shared such a moving experience.
I would 100% recommend Alma to anyone who feels called to ayahuasca. I can’t wait to go back next year.
Alma Healing Center exceeded my expectations in every way. Paulina leads the ayahuasca ceremonies with loving compassion and depth and prepares the sweetest ayahuasca I have ever tasted (no sugar added though!). She carries profound wisdom and experience. Her partner, Sandra, sings beautifully and has an incredible kind soul. They are beautiful to watch in ceremony.
This was one of the most affordable ayahuasca retreats in Ecuador I found, and, as a female traveling alone, I specifically sought a safe plant medicine retreat for women. Led by these two exceptional women, Paulina and Sandra, I found exactly that. This retreat center, with its breathtakingly beautiful locations and nourishing, delicious food, was transformative. I participated in a 5 day Ayahuasca retreat at Alma Healing. My experience was beautiful and nourishing. The accommodations were comfortable and the connection to nature felt in the ruggedly lush cloud forest near Mindo was unmatched. Of the many ayahuasca ceremonies I have participated in I have never experienced one guided so lovingly and consciously. Paulina has a magic in creating an atmosphere of warmth and safety in ceremony that allowed me to deeply connect with the medicine. There are many places you can drink ayahuasca and have a great experience but this is the place I will be recommending to my family and friends.
I had my first Ayahuasca experience at Alma Healing Center. It was a 5 day retreat, with two ceremonies.
During the first ceremony, I did not really feel the medicine. This did not dissapoint me, because I learn a lot from this very beautiful experience anyways. The same happened during the second ceremony. After discussing with the organizers, I was given one final dose of the medicine. Then, finally it worked for me too.
I recommend Alma Healing Center because I was taken care of throughout the retreat, the energy was good, the food, the music and the experience as a whole gave me a lot! I am in no doubt that I would do this again.

From the very moment that we reached out to them online, they took great care of us. We didn’t feel like a number to them. That is so important these days. From the first location to the last location, we were always well informed and well cared for. This was my first journey with Mama Aya and happily will not be my last. We have decided to make this an annual event. I can’t imagine doing something so personal with anyone else.
You will find other organizations that are higher priced, and other organizations that are lower priced, but you will not find any that treat you with such care and such compassion and at such a reasonable price. I cannot wait till next year. I do recommend that you plan to stay a few extra days. Ecuador is absolutely beautiful.

Ayahuasca experiences are nearly impossible to put into words, but I can say that the passion, generosity, and care Sandra and Paulina embodied during the retreat made my experience much deeper than it would have been otherwise.
I needed an overload of feminine energy for my healing process and I received that and more.
The music is all live, diverse, and beautiful beyond words. The right song always seemed to come at the right time in during my journeys.
I highly recommend Alma for your healing needs. I will be back for certain.
Words fall short to describe this place. Paulina and Sandra create a loving, caring and safe place for the ceremony. I was able with their help to give myself fully over to the medication because they created this safe environment.

I could not recommend Alma Healing Center enough. Paulina guides the ceremonies with grace, it was an honour to sit with her energy during the ceremonies. Her passion for the medicine and sharing this deep wisdom with others was incredible to witness. Sandra curates the most beautiful space for healing and growth through her music and song. I chose this retreat because I wanted to feel safe with women shaman and guides around me. The presence of these two women provided exactly that. They held space, they held my hands, they held my heart as I worked through intense yet deeply beautiful processes. To say this retreat center changed my life would not be an exaggeration. In addition, the food provided was nourishing and delicious and the spaces we were brought to were breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you and I hope to return soon
I was so fortunate to have found Sandra and Paulina. It’s hard to find the words for such a magical, safe, and beautiful experience. As a solo female traveler I felt more safe in Ecuador with them than I do in my own country.
